October 13, 2004 - 12:27 p.m.

Today we close on the house, in about two and a half hours. Then, we will gather up all our belongings currently residing in the cave-like apartment of filth and take them all over to the house. I will have a dishwasher, instead of being the dishwasher. I’ll have an entire fridge of food that I know is mine, no more “Uh, who bought that?”. If a pair of shoes is left out by the couch, I will be able to go put them away. If I want to.

When we moved in with CarBabe, I thought we’d all get along relatively well and just kind of do our thing. I didn’t expect that she would use me as a housekeeper and expect me to take care of things like I used to when we were growing up. On one hand, she’s more than willing to go out of her way to help a friend or coworker in need. At the same time, she won’t stack her dishes after a meal.

I’m glad we won’t be sharing the same space with my sister any more. We’re no longer suited to be roommates. I am grateful that she let us come live with her until our house was completed, though.

This summer has been so filled with ordeal. I’m so happy to be wrapping all of that drama up this week. How handy. Last night I resigned my positions from the Producer’s Board and from the acting group all together. We had a very tension filled discussion that just kept making me angrier and angrier. I think, if anything, last night was the final signal to me that I needed to leave. When you’re sitting in a meeting literally shaking with anger, it’s time to go.

Honestly, I hope the group bombs. I hope they fall flat on their faces and embarrass themselves. I hope the holier than thou assholes in the group show their asses and are taken to task for their arrogant mistakes. I hope they miss me and my leaving impacts them in a way they’re not able to recover from. Ever.

We did our walk through yesterday and I was so happy with everything. There were just a tiny few things to fix, and most of them were purely cosmetic. I am, of course, paying for those cosmetic touches, so I asked our builder to fix them. When we went back later in the evening, our builder’s representative, Tim, had completely everything he could do and was just waiting for some specialists to come fix their items.

I’ve just been so happy with the entire process and our builder, New Generation Home Builders, Inc. They have been so wonderful and helpful. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Wanna build a house? Call New Generation Home Builders, Inc!

I think that’s about all the update I have to give. So, let’s break it down for a tidy recap:

  • House: Closing in two hours. Moving in this afternoon.
  • Dark and Cave-Like Apartment of Filth: Horrible, glad to be gone.
  • Sister: Will need some space from.
  • Theater Group: Ass munches. Hope they all die.
  • Work: Beyond frustration. No change.
  • Hobbies/Personal Life: Looking forward to reopening my studio and hosting parties.
And . . . scene!
